1. Introduction

Welcome to Purple Grapes Events.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) outlines the general terms relating to confirmed wedding and event bookings with Purple Grapes Events (“the Agency”). Wedding planning and décor services involve advance creative work, allocation of dates and personnel, vendor commitments and production arrangements.

This Policy should be read together with the applicable signed client agreement. The specific terms of that agreement govern the engagement, subject to applicable law.

2. Booking Confirmation and Payments

Wedding and event bookings are confirmed in accordance with the acceptance and payment requirements specified in the relevant proposal or signed agreement.

Following confirmation, Purple Grapes Events may commence planning, design development, sourcing, reservations and other agreed services. Payment amounts, instalment schedules and applicable taxes are set out in the individual agreement.

3. Refund and Cancellation Conditions

Purple Grapes Events maintains a strict non-refundable booking policy.

Once a wedding or event booking is confirmed, booking advances, planning and management fees, package instalments and payments towards confirmed services are non-refundable in accordance with the signed client agreement, subject to applicable law.

If a client cancels, postpones or is unable to proceed with a confirmed event, payments already made remain subject to the non-refundable terms of the signed agreement and applicable law.

Cancellation does not automatically release the client from outstanding contractual payment obligations. Any such obligations are determined by the signed agreement and applicable law.

4. Postponement and Rescheduling

Requests for a change of date, postponement or rescheduling may be considered by Purple Grapes Events in accordance with the signed agreement. Approval is not automatic and depends on relevant circumstances, including:

  • Availability of the Agency, venues and contracted vendors
  • Services already performed and planning undertaken
  • Existing vendor bookings and financial commitments
  • Production schedules and operational requirements
  • Additional costs associated with the proposed changes

An alternative date, transfer of payments or revised arrangement is not guaranteed. Any approved change, revised scope or additional cost must be mutually agreed and documented in accordance with the signed agreement.

5. Vendor Bookings and Third-Party Commitments

Wedding and event arrangements may involve advance commitments to venues, hotels, artists, decorators, production teams, technical suppliers and other third-party providers.

Vendor booking payments may be non-refundable under the relevant supplier’s terms. Services booked or paid for directly by the client are governed by the corresponding third-party provider’s terms and conditions.

Purple Grapes Events’ obligations concerning vendor sourcing, management and delivery are defined in the signed client agreement.

6. Changes in Event Requirements

Changes to confirmed dates, guest numbers, venues, décor concepts, production, entertainment or other requirements may affect the agreed service scope, vendor commitments and costs.

Material changes and additional services are subject to the approvals and documentation required by the signed agreement. Previously committed payments do not automatically become transferable to other services or arrangements.

7. Force Majeure and Unforeseen Circumstances

Circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the parties, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions or significant operational disruption, may affect event arrangements.

In these circumstances, the parties may discuss practicable alternatives in accordance with the signed agreement. Neither party is automatically required to accept a replacement date.

Any agreed postponement, revised scope or change in cost must be recorded in accordance with the signed agreement. Payment and cancellation provisions remain subject to that agreement and applicable law.

8. Contractual Security Deposits

Where an individual signed agreement expressly provides for a separate refundable security deposit, that deposit will be administered under the specific terms of that agreement.

Any permitted deductions, applicable GST, unused balance and settlement timetable will be determined in accordance with those contractual terms. A separate security deposit is distinct from non-refundable wedding booking advances, planning fees and package instalments.

9. Agreement Priority

This Policy provides general information about Purple Grapes Events’ cancellation and payment practices and does not replace an individual signed client agreement.

Where the signed agreement contains specific provisions on cancellation, postponement, payments or security deposits, those provisions govern the relevant engagement, subject to applicable law. Nothing in this Policy excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Policy is governed by applicable Indian law. Disputes arising from confirmed wedding or event engagements will be addressed under the dispute resolution, arbitration and jurisdiction provisions of the relevant signed client agreement.
